Budget 2025, our response
Bromford Flagship welcomes the steps in today’s budget that help reduce household energy bills from 2026, including changes to legacy levies and expanded support through the Warm Homes Plan, which will offer some relief for customers facing high costs.
We welcome the integrated funding settlements for mayoral areas from 2026 and the £48 million committed to boosting planning capacity. These measures will help speed up decision-making and support long-term development and regeneration across the regions where we operate.
We note that the government will confirm its approach to social rent convergence in January 2026, and we welcome the forthcoming consultation on the VAT treatment of land for social housing, which has the potential to support more affordable homes. Establishing clarity on both of these issues will be important for supporting long-term investment in homes and communities.
